Top 5: Hottest Scream Queens

Of course we all know our classic Scream Queens from the past. I don’t even have to mention them. But who are the best and Hottest Scream Queens of the new horror millennium? Kries Tyfus brings you a top 5 list of the Hottest Scream Queens today.

Scream Queens 1

Top 5: Hottest Scream Queens

Counting down from 5 to 1..

SQ1

05. Sheri Moon Zombie

In at number 5, is Sheri Moon Zombie (born Sheri Lyn Skurkis). She is best known for her role in House of 1000 Corpses, its sequel The Devil's Rejects and for being Rob Zombie's wife. Before she went into the movie business in 2003, she was a model and dancer in many music video's, especially in Rob's. Since her debut in House of 1000 Corpses, she appeared in other horrific movies, such as Toolbox Murders and both Halloween remakes by Rob Zombie. You may also recognize her from the Werewolf Women of the SS segment from the Grindhouse feature by Tarantino & Rodriguez. Currently she's working on The Lords of Salem, yet another production directed by.. take a wild guess.. yes, indeed.. Rob Zombie. With just a few movies on her résumé (yet), she's already been crowned as one of the finest Scream Queens of a new era.

04. Melissa George

Well.. Melissa George is kind of an exception, cause she's not really your typical 'horror actress' or 'B-movie heroine'. Despite her roles in Down with Love, Sugar & Spice, Swinging with the Finkels and her TV appearences in Charmed, Friends and Alias, she appeared in a couple of horrific productions along the way as well. Just try to remember her small part in the 1998 Sci-Fi thriller Dark City. Followed by The Amityville Horror in 2003, 30 Days of Night in 2007 and the more recent Triangle, one of the weirdest mind-fucks I've ever seen, in 2009. And I guess there are quite a few more. Let's just hope Miss George will be accepting a lot more horrifying offers in the near future. Press and critics don't call her 'Gorgeous George' for nothing..

03. Shannon Lark

We're at number 3 of our top 5 list of Hottest Scream Queens. Her name is Shannon Lark. She's only about 30 years old and already made quite a name for herself. She's known for being a professional Scream Queen. She's not just an actress. She's so much more than that. Shannon Lark is also a writer, producer, director and founder of the Viscera Film Festival, a film festival where (especially) low-budget horror movies are being showed, for women audience only. Her movie performances include Ludlow, Walking Distance (along with Debbie Rochon and Paranormal Activity's Katie Featherston) and the upcoming Devotion and The Toy Box. Shannon is also head of a horror production company that specializes in horror film making and ‘splatter theatre’, called The Chainsaw Mafia. Oh, man.. she’s so much into horror stuff, it actually frightens me.. Who doesn’t wanna date a girl like that? *hubbahubba!*

02. Danielle Harris

Former child star Danielle Harris got all sorts of genres written on her résumé. From City Slickers to Free Willy to TV guest appearances on Growing Pains, Eerie Indiana and Boy Meets World to lending her voice to Nickelodeon’s Wild Thornberrys. But cute innocent little girls are getting older too. It seems she had about enough of her previous taste in movie picks lately. Just like Sheri Moon Zombie, Danielle appeared in both Halloween remakes by Rob Zombie. In fact, it’s not the first time she was cast in a Halloween movie. She played a different role back in 1988 and 1989, portraying the role of Jamie Lloyd, Michael Myers’ niece, in Halloween 4: the Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: the Revenge of Michael Myers. She was about 12 years old at the time. After that we hadn’t seen her in a horror flick again for a while, except for Urban Legend in 1998, 10 years later. Other works include an appearance in a music video for the song ‘The Bleeding’ by Five Finger Death Punch. But from the looks of it, we can see her interest in horror is starting to grow. Her last movies from the last couple of years were basically horror movies. And she’s still hungry for more blood, cause currently she’s been working on new horror related projects, such as Nuclear Family, Shiver, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, The Victim and Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D. A marvellous step forwards in her career. Miss Danielle Harris, in at number 2.

01. Emily Booth

Of course, there can only be one Scream Queen of the new millennium and her name is Emily Booth. I’m pretty sure every hardcore B-movie fanatic knows this babe, or at least heard of. She’s probably best known for her role in Dani Filth’s gorefest: Cradle of Fear. But of course to die hard Booth fans, movies such as Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft, Pervirella and Evil Aliens aren’t missing in their precious Emily Booth collection. More recent work is her segment ‘Don’t’ in the Grindhouse double-feature by Tarantino & Rodriguez and her role as the Snipper in Doghouse (2009). She’s also a TV personality on British Television and host of several internet and satellite television shows. In 2007, she joined the Zone Vision Network to work as a presenter and continuity announcer on its Zone Horror channel, did a show called BITS, about videogames, and had a show of her own named Emily Booth’s GoreZone Magazine Movie Massacre. She loves gore AND videogames! She’s got the looks, the body, spontaneity, the sexy british accent and keeps our blood pounding fast and furious.
