The full program for the 8th edition of the BUT Film Festival is online! The festival is held from 4th till the 8th of September and director Albert Pyun (CYBORG, KICKBOXER 2 and THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER) is the main guest. Read on for a small selection and the nominees for the BUT Awards!
The opening film on Wednesday the 4th of September is 25th REICH, followed by a performance of the Dutch industrial metal band DEADCELL.
The films that are nominated for the BUT Awards are: DEEP IN MY MIND, EXTREME JUKEBOX, NEVER BLOODLESS, THE TURNPIKE KILLER and ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE.
The program includes a couple of films by Albert Pyun, the first Indian zombie film RISE OF THE ZOMBIES, the Brazillian MAR NEGRO, the short NEW NEIGHBOR (featuring Asami), Tanatamorphose, TEATER CITY (from the creators of ADAM CHAPLIN) and much, much more!
There will be a special 70's program showing films like BLACULA and DYNAMITE BROTHERS, a short film program, student films and the Night of Error-a selection of VHS trailers followed by the film THE HIDDEN. The winner of the BUT Awards will be announced on Saturday the 7th of September.
Next to films, the festival hosts quite a diverse lineup of guests, performances and gigs.
