Hatchet III is getting its first teaser

It's time to journey on down to the swamp again! Dark Sky films has finally announced a release date and even a teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Hatchet III. Journey below the words to see the teaser, but be sure to read the stuff in-between. There's some important info there.

Hatchet III will premiere on June 14th and will have showings at New York City' s Cinema Village and Los Angeles' Laemmle Music Hall. During the initial opening, fans will get a chance to meet cast and crew at both locations and participate in a Q&A session. Can' t make it to either venue? More cities will be announced soon!

This will be the directorial debut of BJ McDonnell and stars Danielle Harris and Kane Hodde, Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and Sean Whalen (People Under the Stairs).

The film continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.
