Some good and some bad news Evil Dead

It was recently announced that Fede Alvarez'a remake of the Evil Dead had received an NC-17 rating which means, this is filled with some pretty insane stuff. Sadly the MPAA have had to come in and order some cuts for the films theatrical release.

According to Dread Central, the MPAA have granted the film an R for "strong bloody violence and gore, some sexual content and language."

Like I said last time, even though the film has been cut, I mean it was inevitable if it ever wanted to be shown in theatres. But, this makes for a much more awesome home video release, or at-least we can hope they release this fully uncut on DVD & Blu-ray.

Don't forget the release of the movie is set for 12th of April.
